  • Supervisor Bassi distributed to trustees packets with applications from 3 candidates for the Assessor appointment to fill the vacancy along with sample interview questions. A discussion was held about process and schedules. Supervisor Bassi will contact the candidates.

Former Lake County Board Member and Moraine Township resident Steven Mandel emailed Supervisor Bassi, Trustees, Clerk Brown, Lake County Board President Aaron Lawlor, Lake County Board Member Paul Frank and Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering suggesting the consolidation of Moraine Township Assessor’s office into the Lake County Chief Assessment office. Supervisor Bassi sent a response outlining our concerns with independence and accountability.
