WHAT'S NEW ON MORAINE TOWNSHIP'S WEBSITE?
Moraine Township announces that the summer issue of the semi-annual newsletter, Talk of the Township, was posted in PDF format, in coordination with the mailing of printed copies to all Moraine Township households. (Newsletters have begun arriving in the mail beginning in the week of August 8.)
To complement the feature article in that issue – the second installment about Township cemeteries – Moraine Township has also begun posting scanned documents and photographs concerning the histories and present condition of the two cemeteries, Mooney and Daggitt. History buffs and genealogy enthusiasts will enjoy an enriched experience, added to periodically.
In addition, a page of information with links to human services resources in Illinois were added to the Township website. Many of these resources are ones that the Township's General Assistance manager works with on behalf of residents. The Resource Links page is located with the Supervisor's programs online.
New photos of Moraine's Pantry Plants Garden Project have also been posted. Volunteer gardeners are most welcome to contribute.
In addition, the Township Assessor's Office reminds residents that they have only 30 days to protest their property assessment notices, which should have begun appearing in mailboxes the week of August 8.
The Township welcomes public inquiry about all of their programs and activities.
