MLK Food Drive January 21 -- Food and Volunteers Needed!

Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Day by joining with Moraine Township and other community organizations at the Highland Park Recreation Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 for a day of service to commemorate Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy.

DROP-OFF YOUR FOOD AND GO! (Or stay and help sort!)

FOOD NEEDED!
Unexpired / no glass jars
Pull up to the door of the Highland Park Recreation Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to drop food off with our volunteers.

Most needed items:

  • Olive Oil
  • Canned fruit / fruit cups
  • Granola bars
  • Sloppy Joe or Hamburger Helper mix
  • Crackers – all kinds
  • Cereal – all kinds
  • Oatmeal
  • Applesauce
  • Coffee / tea / hot chocolate
  • Mayonnaise
  • Jelly / jam

Miscellaneous non-food items

  • Soap – laundry and personal
  • Shampoo / conditioner
  • Toilet paper
  • Cleaning supplies

JANUARY 21 DOESN’T WORK? PICK ANOTHER DAY TO HELP
If January 21 doesn’t work for you, please bring contributions of unexpired, non-perishable food to our office at 800 Central Avenue, Highland Park, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. anytime

When residents visit our pantry, in addition to bags of shelf-stable food, they are offered fresh produce, eggs, cheese and frozen meat.
