Lake County now offers an email subscription list service that will
help keep everyone informed about local government. You can
create your own
subscription by going to the Lake County web site at
http://www.co.lake.il.us.
Under Community Outreach, click on eMail Lists, then click on New
Subscriber and follow the instructions.
After selecting the information you would like to receive from the
County, the application is complete. The Lake County Treasurer's
Office, for example, intends to send out several reminder notices at
key times throughout the tax year. Since we only send out one tax
bill a year here in Lake County, people have always been looking for
some type of a reminder, especially at the time of the second
installment due date. The subscription will do just that.
In addition, we are hoping that it will decrease the number
of delinquent taxpayers. I strongly encourage you to sign up for
this
program.
