YOUTH & FAMILY SUPPORT
Moraine Township supports services for resident individuals, youth and families through its annual Grant Program, which provides agency and scholarship support to local day care centers, as well as services for youth through adults on matters ranging from health and safety to psychological, substance abuse and employment counseling, and services to the homeless.
The Township also makes referrals for residents in need of everything from mental health services to financial counseling. Contact the Supervisor's Office for referral information and direct help for certain problems, by calling 847-432-3240. Residents can also go to the Supervisor's list of human service resources links accessed via our website; or check on our general Links page for many online resources.
Consult the Grant recipient list and their website links for currently supported programs.
The Moraine Township office is also a court-mandated "community service" site. The Lake County courts (juvenile and adult) and the Highland Park Peer Jury (high school and junior high ages) assign people to perform community service as penalties for infractions. Moraine accepts these individuals, assigning them to perform various worthwhile tasks, such as organizing the Food Pantry, and providing clerical assistance.
