MISSION STATEMENT
Moraine Township administers funds to provide responsive, efficient and compassionate services and support for residents in need.
Moraine Township is a “special purpose” governmental unit providing:
Property assessment services in the Assessor’s Office
Election and record-keeping functions in the Clerk’s Office
Management of Cemeteries: Mooney and Daggitt

Geographic Boundaries
Located in southeast Lake County along the Lake Michigan shore, Moraine Township and the municipalities within its borders are not co-terminus. Through the years new municipalities incorporated and existing municipalities annexed and expanded into other Townships. Moraine Township includes most of Highland Park, all of Highwood, and parts of southeast Lake Forest and east Deerfield.
