Moraine Township Food Pantry
Minimum volunteer age is 16.
Sort, shelve, clean up, assist shoppers, pick up food contributions at area stores. Regular weekly volunteers needed as well as substitutes and occasional volunteers for special events.
Volunteer for a 2-hour shift the first weekend in December at Sunset Foods to raise funds for the Food Pantry. Many volunteers needed to cover all shifts for the 3-day event.
Postal Workers’ Food Drive: 2nd Saturday in May. Many volunteers needed to help unload and sort food.
Host a food drive any time of the year at your convenience.
Holiday Gift Drive
Residents sponsor community children and seniors to provide holiday gifts and cheer for HP/HW families and seniors.
Free Income Tax Return Preparation
Train with the Internal Revenue Service online during December and January to prepare free tax returns for low-income residents from February to April.
Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance
Train with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS) online during September and October to help residents without health insurance to sign-up on the Federal Marketplace during open enrollment.
Citizen Advisory Committees
Volunteers participate on our Latino Advisory Committee, Citizen Advisory Grant Committee, and other ad hoc committees, as needed. Email info@morainetownship.org if you are interested.
